New Building - Component 1 to 4

Component 1 -
Search of natural stone Quarry

You have an idea of the colour range for your favourite natural stone. We will find the stones worldwide for you and will make an exposé of the quarries, the sizes of the raw blocks, and estimate, of the quantity and the quality of the stones is ok for your project (home office work).

We introduce to you the exposé during a date and check which stone is suitable for you. For the favourite stone we will drive (if you want with you) in the quarries and see the actual condition, the cracks of the minerable walls in the quarry / at the raw blocks, the actual colour range and see also some references.

After that we can arrange a Mock Up / sample collection of the original sizes where all subjects of the stone will be shown.

Our biggest reference was “The Sheik Zayed Mosque of Abu Dhabi” (for His Highness), where we had to find about 10.000 cbm of white marble.

His Highness indicated not to use Carrara Marble…

Component 2-
Quality controls - Quarries / Production firms

If the choice of a stone was taken it has to be ensured that the stone from the quarry will also be delivered in the quality which was choosen by the team (building owner, architect, stone consultant).

For thererfore we are going to the quarry and the production and estimate what is “fake”, “fake news” or if we get “alternative facts”.

Also we check the production machines of their tolerances, the sizes of the slabs / plates and last but not least the color range compared to the
Mock Up.

Component 3 -
Quality control Building site

When we have the right stone the right slabs and plates (comp. 1 and 2) there is the need of check the quality on the building site (eg.anchoring system, drillings, quality of the so-called Fischer anchoring system etc.).

We are specialized in exploring hide deficits which you can`t see anymore after installing.

But we are not working against the workers; probably the workers also have questions, so we can communicate in a short way.

We have the target to help realizing a building / a place in the best quality concerning natural stones.

Component 4 -
Quality control stone by thin sections

As you perhaps know, there are so many natural stones in the world, which looks like on the macroscopic way very similar to each other, but in reality they are very different, also concerning the technical dates.
So often we get the question, if the delivered stone is the right stone, when there are daubts / or to get sure.

We make thin sections with a thickness of 0,0025 mm and examine these thin sections under different types of microscopes.

Then we can explain with pictures the different qualities of the stones, which also explains e.g. rusty spots, porosity (with water absorption) and some technical data (low flexural strength when the minerals are very smooth together or have a texture, which allows no other interpretations).
